NIKKI BOHM BIO
NIKKI BOHM is an established multilingual Actress and Artist Autuer, raised in Vancouver, Canada and Zagreb, Croatia, currently based in Los Angeles, California.
She is well-known for diversity in her roles as an atypical performer. Her specialty is in the avant-garde horror/fantasy and macabre industry where she is famous for playing unique characters, often portraying badass women, unusual, outrageous and also grotesque roles, especially her favorite- Creatures. Nikki began her career as a Dancer and Actor at ZKM, one of the leading avant-garde theaters in Croatia. Under ZKM, she appeared in professional productions such as “Konrad The Kid From The Tin Can”, which participated at the International Dance and Acting Festival in Hague, Netherlands. She is trained in classical ballet, modern dance, and certified as a teacher in pole dancing. Nikki comes from strong theater training. She attended the renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, The School For Film and Television in New York, and holds a full-time degree from the prestigious American Academy Of Dramatic Arts in New York. |
RADA Stage credits include Cleopatra in Shakespeare’s “Anthony and Cleopatra” and Helena in “Midsummer Nights Dream”, directed by the established actor / director Hugh Fraser.
Off-Off Broadway credits include various lead roles such as Portia in “Merchant of Venice” (Queens Shakespeare Company), and Nance in “Female Transport” and her LA Stage credits include lead role of PMS in the award-winning multimedia musical “Patty-The Revival” directed by Patrick Kennelly at the Highways Performance Space, lead role of Model in Werner Fassbinder's "Blood on The Cat's Neck" produced by Teatar TAS and lead role of Ursula in “Berlin Cowboys” directed by Iris Melris at the Write Act Repertory among others.
Nikki's Film credits include: Macon in Action Thriller "Road Wars” out on DVD Worldwide, lead role of Gigi in Thriller “Nobody Can Cool” out on DVD US/CANADA, lead role of Erin Cooper in “Off the Record”, Deadly Daisy in award-winning short film “Ticket to the Haunted Mansion”, Nikki in JauntVR's 360-Stunt Short Film "Escape the Living Dead" directed by award-winning director Matt Lewis, Lucila/Nidorina in award-nominated film “Nidorina”, and writer and lead role of Woman in experimental short film “Nothing Happened” which premiered at the prestigious Muestra Audiovisual Cine Sinú, in Montería, Colombia. Additional film credits include lead role in short film “Pride”, lead role of Isabella in “Breathe”, lead role of April in award-nominated short film “Affections” by Fatalis Partnership and various others.
Nikki was the lead Performance Artist in Orit Ben-Shitrit’s video art installation “Men Who Die, and They Are Not Happy”, which had it’s exhibition at the Haifa Museum of Modern Art in Jerusalem and in acclaimed artist Barnett Cohen's visual performance art “Congrats & Condolences” which opened at the prominent Neutra VDL Studios in Los Angeles, CA.
In 2018, Nikki wrote, directed and starred as lead role of Vodoo Mephistopheles and Josie in avant-garde short horror film “Ira”, an Official Selection in the Noves Visions Petit Format at the prestigious 51st Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya. Ira was also selected in competition at Bogotá Horror Film Festival where it won an award for “Best Editing” followed by official selections at Serbian Fantasy Film Festival, Parana Films Festival, Sustefest Minutos De Terror Film Festival and Film Maudit 2.0 Festival.
Nikki served as an Official Judge and Panelist at the Montgomery International Film Festival 2019, at the 12th Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) 2019 and at Film Maudit 2.0 Festival 2019. In 2020, she has been invited back as an Associate Programmer and Judge for the Film Maudit 2.0 Festival 2020, as lead Curator and Panelist at the 13th Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) and further as President of Jury for the Los Angeles Latin Music Video Festival (LAMV 2020).
Nikki has had the opportunity to personally cast celebrity actor Dean Winters (OZ, Law and Order SVU) in short film “Memoire” as well as renowned actor Mark Moses (Desperate Housewives, Mad Men) in the film “The Tsarevich”.
Besides native English and Croatian, Nikki is also fluent in German, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.
